What happened in just one year?
Wednesday, October 10, 2012
Dear Editor,
Can someone please explain to me what has happened in the space of one short year.
Approximately a year ago the ugly monster of crime was on the retreat. The carnage of murders, rape, robberies and civil disobedience was significantly trending downwards and the people of Jamaica were — for the first time for a very long time — breathing a sigh of relief, feeling a little less scared, hopeful for the future.
In one short year, the wanton disregard for life, the raping and cruel heinous crimes being inflicted on our female population has soared beyond belief. Someone please, please tell me what has happened in one short year.
