Dear Editor,

Citizens Action for Free and Fair Elections (CAFFE) mourns the passing of Dr Owen Jefferson.

Dr Jefferson was a dedicated CAFFE volunteer who served as a faithful member of its board for over 17 years.

For several national elections he was nominated as CAFFE's representative at the Electoral Commission's Election Centre, where he provided CAFFE with valuable service in coordinating our election monitoring activities with the Electoral Commission and the Electoral Office of Jamaica.

In addition, he utilised his skills and expertise in compiling the statistical tables and analysis for several of CAFFE's election reports.

We hail Dr Jefferson as a distinguished scholar, dedicated public servant and faithful citizen of Jamaica.

We extend to his widow, family, and relatives our sincere condolence as we recognise his sterling contribution to Jamaica.

Lloyd Barnett

Chairman
