Farewell Sister Ignatius

Monday, February 17, 2003

Sister Ignatius

Dear Editor,
Greetings, on behalf of myself and members of the Caribbean-American Programme for empowerment (USA) Inc, and the Caribbean-American Programme for Interfaith Unity (USA) Inc. We wish to express our profound condolences on the passing of Sister Mary Ignatius.

As a then member of the Roman Catholic Church on North Street and a frequent visitor to Alpha Boys School, I had known Sister Ignatius very well as a hardworking nun who had love in her heart for all.

We pray fervently for the repose of her soul and pray that Almighty Allah (God) will grant her a place in paradise.
We also express our profound condolences to all her family and friends of a great loss to Jamaica and its people.

As-Salaam-Alaikum
