Dear Editor,

International Women's Day 2018 comes on the heels of unprecedented global movement for women's rights, equality and justice. Recent global statistics reveal that it will take 217 years to close the gender parity gap.

I, therefore, use this medium to make that strong call to #PressforProgress motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender-inclusive.

We cannot be complacent! Women's rights must be recognised and efforts duly rewarded in all sectors of society and regions of the world.
