Dear Editor,

It is outrageous that Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Government are seemingly now prosecuting street vendors for the collapse of the economy.

The Government and its proxies are failing to admit that they have failed dismally to manage the economy and the impact of street vendors is just a drop in the ocean.

We cannot accept the excuses that the Government is offering about the economy which is rotten. It is high time that the recently elected president relinquishes power and leave the job to capable people. We do not want to see many Zimbabweans flooding to South Africa just like in 2008.

The international community, including countries like South Africa, should not remain silent about the situation in Zimbabwe.
