Recent outburst of violence looks suspicious

Dear Editor,

Bob Marley was spot on when he sang, “Who the cap fit, let them wear it.” Another line from that song identified the problem as “hypocrites and parasites”. Finally, he sang like a bird when he outlined that, “If night should turn to day, a lot of people would run away. Who the...” We know the rest of the song.

Now, frankly speaking, am I to believe that coincidentally, just days after the special zones Bill touted to effectively deal with the crime monster was passed through the Lower House of Parliament, that the Corporate Area just erupts and explodes into bloodshed through gang warfare?

Permit my scepticism for a moment, but isn't that just too surreal? Is there a deeper meaning to the perceived chaotic shootings just hours and communities apart?

Did Waterhouse, Olympic Gardens, Rockfort, Payne Land, and Denham Town gunmen just decide to wake up and start firing shots, in an almost coordinated effort, killing or injuring groups of people?

If so, all our heads as humans are square, and we indeed live in the twilight zone in Jamaica!

Of course, Clarendon and St James would not be outdone, so there were the usual triple shootings in both locales.

I'm not convinced that some of these criminal acts are random. Something is just not adding up, and the hope is that an insider will be bold enough someday to come out and say what exactly is fuelling this display of carnage unleashed on those garrison communities in the space of three nights.

What a day when some of the hidden motives and agendas are revealed! What a day when what is hidden is made plain! Hoping that day will be soon.
