Dear Editor,

I just wish to state that my country, Jamaica is one of the most blessed places in the world. Let no one tell you otherwise.

Just consider our cooking techniques. The food is to die for, and these days not only restaurants have it but our supermarkets too.

It is with that consideration that I wish to commend the Progressive Group supermarket in the Portmore Sovereign. The food is so good that on Sundays, instead of people going home to cook, they stop there to buy and most times even wait.

The oxtail, the rice and peas, the curry goat, fish, stew pork, stew peas or a variety of chicken — just lovely!

I, too, have joined the line of regulars there to buy food early.

Whoever the cooks are, it is clear that they have no end to their creativity or repertoire of cooking. Compliments to the chef.
