We're not 'wagonists'
Dear Editor,
The heightened football season is indeed enthralling, and for most people that's all that matters to them — a feel-good moment.
It is against that backdrop I chide those commentators and football analysts who continue to brand people as bandwagonist because they switched from supporting the traditional teams that Jamaicans usually fal behind during the World Cup.
The fact is most fanatics are bandwagonists, even those who refer to others as such, because the events are usually seasonal and after the events are over you don't hear or see the same level of support for the team or teams of choice.
So one should allow others the freedom of choice without the pressure of being traditional.
