There's nothing celebrated international artist CJ Latimore loves more than those with an appreciation for fine art. He has found kindred spirits at the Wyndham Kingston Hotel where an exhibition of Jamaican art has made the mezzanine level his favourite spot.

Latimore, who calls California home when he is not travelling around the world mounting exhibitions of his work, was elated to see pieces by some of Jamaica's most celebrated artists in the Wyndham's private collection, including Ken Abendana Spencer, George Rodney, Anthony Wilson, Lennox Coke, and M Bryden. Though born in the USA, Latimore claims "Jamerican" status courtesy of his Jamaican father.

He commemorates major historical events and people in his own work and counts Cicely Tyson, Michael Jordan and the late Isaac Hayes among his many clients.

SO caught him enjoying the displays.
