As the clock winds down on 2011, the global fabulocracy are united in a single goal — prep for perhaps the world's biggest night of partying. Your Under the Dryer team offers assistance in helping you get celeb perfect for the New Year's Eve party of your choice. Here is how you can up the style ante as you ring in 2012.

Megan Fox's Teased Ponytail

Transformers star Megan Fox looked stunning with this teased ponytail on the red carpet. This look can be achieved easily when you make your head-turning appearance on New Year's Eve.

The Routine:

Shampoo the hair with Keracare Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner. After this is done, towel-dry the hair and mist it generously with Keracare Setting Lotion ahead of roller-setting. Sit under the dryer for half-an-hour, then remove the rollers and work in a dollop of Pro Style Curling Bees Wax through the tresses. Using your fingers, tease the curls into a bouffant-like style in the front and then gather the hair into a low ponytail at the nape, which is then secured with hairpins for a classy, romantic effect.

Taraji P Henson's Edgy Bob

Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P Henson, who starred in the 2008 film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, is known for her signature bob. However, when she stepped on the red carpet for the 2009 Academy Awards she gave it a more edgy finish and even added side-swept bangs to complete the look. Here is how you can get a similar style courtesy of the team at Roxanne's.

Use La-Brasiliana Keratin and Collagen shampoo and no-rinse conditioner to cleanse the hair. Then apply a leave-in detangler, UV protection styling aid, and define-and-shine serum, ahead of roller-setting the hair. Sit under the dryer until the hair is completely dry. Post-dryer, style the hair with a blow dryer and round brush.

Blake Lively's Tousled Tresses

Actress Blake Lively is known for her perfectly tousled tresses and her exquisite sense of style. It's no wonder that the Under the Dryer team thought this look would be perfect if you want to make a fashion statement as you step out in style to say goodbye to 2011 and ring in the new year.

The Routine:

First, apply Pre Art hair treatment to damp, towel-dried hair to 'strip' it — a term used by hairstylists to refer to the process of removing build-up from the hair. The product also aids in softening the strands for a smoother finish. Sit under the dryer for 15 minutes to facilitate the process. Shampoo the hair with TRESemmé shampoo and conditioner. Blot the hair with a towel and apply a liberal amount of Smooth 'N' Shine polishing mousse. Trim the ends of the hair ahead of setting it with rollers. Sit under the dryer for 20 minutes until the hair is dry. When this is finished, blow-dry the roots to remove the kinks along the hairline, then enhance the curls with a medium curling iron. To complete the look, use your fingers to tousle the curls a bit for a soft, feminine appeal.

Heidi Klum's Chic Chignon

The classic chignon is perfect for almost any occasion. It is a nice evening look for a cocktail event and also ideal for the office. The look is sure to stay in place as it is unaffected by wind or even humidity. Also, pulling away the hair from your face creates the perfect opportunity to show off your beauty.

Blow-dry the hair, then use a ceramic flat iron so that the hair will not only be straight but appear smoother. Apply One 'n' Only Argan Oil to the ends of the hair then brush hair into a ponytail. Create the chignon and pin in place using prong-shaped bobby pins.

Halle Berry's Funky Pixie

This low-maintenance and stylish pixie cut à la Halle Berry is perfect for any chicster on New Year's Eve. Not only can you keep it curly but you can also create flips using a ceramic flat iron.

Cleanse the hair with Mizani Renew Strength moisturising shampoo and Reconstructing Masque conditioner. Then wrap it with Jane Carter Solutions Wrap & Roll foaming conditioner, which stylist Lisa Hutchinson explained "doesn't cause build-up and makes the hair soft and smooth". Then sit under the dryer until the hair is completely dry. Lightly trim the hair, then create light flips with a ceramic flat iron ahead of styling with the fingers. Finish the look by misting the hair with Design Essentials Formations styling spritz and Reflections liquid shine spray for a light hold and added gloss.

Kim Kardashian's Lustrous Locks

The long, dark curls of Kim Kardashian are almost as famous as her personal life. The reality star has stepped onto many a runway looking flawless with her silky smooth hair. For the women who desire to ring in the New Year with this signature style but don't have the lustrous locks naturally, hair extensions and the right stylist is all you will need.

The Routine:

Cleanse the hair with a shampoo and conditioner of your choice. Use a handheld hairdryer to dry the hair. The scalp should then be moisturised with hair oil. Separate a section at the front — for a more natural-looking finish — and create cornrows to the rest of the head. Proceed to sew the weave onto the braids. Style the hair by using a ceramic flat iron. Use your fingers to fluff the hair to get that Kim K volume. Finish the look by lightly misting the hair with an oil sheen spray.

Iman's Finger Waves

This vintage look was all the rage in the 1930s. It is referred to as the 'finger wave' as the fingers can also be used to create the style. This versatile look can work for both short hair — as Kadian displays — and long locks like supermodel Iman's chic do. Here is how you can get the look.

Apply Mizani Butter Blend Base Scalp Protector to scalp ahead of relaxing with Optimum Multi Mineral Relaxer. Then shampoo the hair with Optimum Normalising Shampoo, Optimum OptiCleanse Neutralising Shampoo and Optimum Care Stay Strong Conditioner. When this is finished, work in a generous amount of Nice 'N' Fresh Protein Conditioning Gel through the tresses and use a rat-tail comb to create 'push waves'. Then sit under the dryer for 20 minutes, and after the hair is partly dried, spritz with Pump It Up! Styling Spritz and sit under the dryer again to 'set in the style'. Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Sheen Spray is then liberally applied for added boost.

Rihanna's Curly Fro

Pop sensation Rihanna is known for constantly changing her look. This rocking red fro that she debuted at the American Music Awards in 2010 was a funky and uber-cute look — perfect for a New Year's Eve party.

Colour-treat the hair then spiral-set. Sit under the dryer until the hair is completely dry. Then remove the rods to reveal light, bouncy curls. Apply Matrix Blokage Smoothing serum to the hair to provide a weightless, glossy shine with maximum frizz and humidity control. To complete the look, use the fingers to separate and mound the curls. The hair along the crown is pushed forward at the hairline and held in place using hairpins.
