'I only gained 23 lbs when I was pregnant'
Tuesday, December 11, 2012
Megan Fox has revealed she only gained 23 lbs during her pregnancy. The 26-year-old actress gave birth to Noah — her first child with husband Brian Austin Green — in September. She looked decidedly slender in a cream dress as she joined a host of stars including Reese Witherspoon and Hilary Duff at the March of Dimes Celebration of Babies luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Friday. The This Is 40 star told the Daily Mirror: "I only gained 23 lbs when I was pregnant and I'm still 10 pounds heavier, but I don't want to kill myself trying to get back into shape because it's not a priority right now. I'm too in love with Noah and I don't want to be away from him. I just want to be home." Fox also revealed becoming a mother has changed her approach to her work because she is mindful of how it could affect him when he is older. She said: "It changes your perspective about being overly sexual in a film when you have a baby. I'm going to be more cautious about choosing films because I'm already thinking about when he's in school and his friends are going to be showing him my photo shoots with me in a bikini and he's going to be horrified. So that will deter me from making some of the choices I made before." Her film This Is 40, which also stars Paul Rudd and Judd Apatow, is due to be released on December 21.

'She sounds like she has a fifth-grade education'
With fans like this, who needs enemies? For the second time in as many years, TV talk show host Wendy Williams — who claims to be a Beyoncé fan — has made a dig at the multiple Grammy-winning singer. During an episode of The Wendy Williams Show which aired on Thursday, the outspoken media personality accused the Halo singer of being unintelligible. Talking about Beyonce's upcoming HBO documentary, Williams started off the segment of the show by saying she was a fan of the star. "Some people are saying 'Why is she doing a documentary? I know all there is to know,'" she said. "I am not one of those. I am a Beyoncé fan and I am going to be watching this documentary even if she doesn't introduce us to new stuff... I want to watch it." But seconds later, to the disbelief of the studio audience, the no-nonsense New Jersey native griped: "Fortunately, one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning so I can understand what she says, because you know Beyoncé can't talk. Beyoncé sounds like she has a fifth-grade education," she concluded. While the audience booed, an unapologetic Williams cried out: "I just said, I'm a fan but let's call a spade a spade." This is not the first time that Williams has incurred the wrath of the Diva singer. In 2011, she openly criticised the singer's pregnancy and insinuated that her baby bump was fake after Beyoncé's belly appeared to crinkle as she sat down for an interview on Australian TV. "What is that? Is that a baby bump?"

Helen Mirren swaps trademark glamour for warmth
She has become the embodiment of timeless glamour, showing just the right amount of skin at just the right time — proving that women over 60 can still ooze sex appeal. So some of Dame Helen Mirren's dedicated fans might have been slightly disappointed when the 67-year-old turned up to the London premiere of Hitchcock with her famous curves concealed under a warm winter coat. The actress, who was snapped on the red carpet with co-star and long-term friend Sir Anthony Hopkins, was said to jokily complain about the bitter London cold as she made her way past fans and photographers at the British Film Institute Cinema at the South Bank Centre tonight. The actress still looked every inch the movie star though, as she teamed the warm winter coat — complete with a 50s-inspired cape and long evening gloves — with an elegant floral dress cinched in at the waist and lace-up boots. She completed the retro look with a slick of red lipstick. Mirren plays Hitchcock's wife Alma Reville in the new film opposite Hopkins who plays the film-maker himself. The 74-year-old actor also looked dapper in a silk scarf and perfectly tailored charcoal suit as he posed next to his co-star, with his thick-rimmed glasses bang on trend.
