And the awards went to...
Jamaican women are most passionate about looking good. Truth be told, we dress to step into our boudoirs! Our hair, nails, eyebrows and faces must be flawless. When we’re stressed there’s nothing better than a full-body massage with a few heated stones thrown in for added relief. We’re a demanding set of individuals who make the trek our mothers, grandmothers and great-grans all made Saturday after Saturday in their quest for beauty. It is with this in mind and because we know the value of these oftentimes unsung heroes that we present for the second time, in association with Absolut Vodka, The Jamaica Observer Under the Dryer Awards 2012 — a celebration of creativity, skill and longevity.
We use this opportunity to thank the Spanish Court hotel whose own fabulous spa — The Spa at The Spanish Court Hotel copped the Wow Factor award in 2011.
