She's usually showcasing a demure and natural look on the set of teen movies. But Vanessa Hudgens opted for a departure from her usual style as she posed up a storm in a sexy shoot for Harper's Bazaar Arabia
The 23-year-old actress showed off her incredible figure as she donned a series of stunning designer dresses for the high-fashion shoot.
Opting for the 'Angelina pose', the Spring Breakers star offered a hint of a toned and tanned leg as she showcased an emerald green velvet dress by Gucci with a daring plunging neckline and an eyewatering thigh split.
Positively sizzling as she pouted towards the camera, the brunette beauty ditched her usual natural make-up in favour of a dramatic vampy look. In another shot, Vanessa opted for a more demure indigo dress by Lanvin, which was accessorised with black leather gloves and a huge statement necklace. Reclining against a wall and closing her eyes as she took the shoot completely in her stride, the former High School Musical star proved her new look was suiting her down to the ground.
On the front of the magazine, Vanessa posed in a dramatic sheer black Dolce and Gabbana gown as she balanced on a pair of towering red boots.
The star's locks were tousled into wet-look waves, while dark rouge lips complemented her smokey eyeshadow. Aside from posing for the magazine, Vanessa opened up about her role in Gimme Shelter, admitting she had to chop all her hair off and live in a women's shelter for two weeks to get into the mindset of her pregnant teenager alter-ego, Apple.
Bipolar Catherine Zeta-Jones insists she is 'not a victim’
Last year Catherine Zeta-Jones bravely went public about her bipolar disorder — and said just recently she hopes she can help remove the stigma from the mental condition. But during an interview on ABC's Good Morning America o n Friday, the Welsh-born actress insisted she is tired of talking about the illness.
Catherine, 43, was treated in a psychiatric hospital last April for manic depression over the stress of her husband Michael Douglas's battle against cancer. At the time her publicist confirmed she was receiving help for the mood-altering illness.
Despite being very open about her condition since, during her interview the mother-of-two insisted she 'never wanted to become the poster child' — and does not want to be seen as a victim. She said: “You know what? I'm sick of talking about it because I never wanted to be the poster child for this [bipolar].
I never wanted this to come out publicly. It came out,” she added emphatically. Talking about how she copes with the illness, she went on: “I dealt with it in the best way I could and that was just saying: 'Hey, I'm bipolar.' Everyone has things going on and we deal with them as best we can.”
Very matter of factly, Zeta-Jones continued: “We can't go jump from the rooftops shouting about I have this, look at me, victim. No. We all have issues in our life and I'm really lucky that I have great friends, great support, and that's all I can do.” Catherine suffers from bipolar II, which unlike bipolar I, means the 'up' moods do not reach full-on levels of mania. Rather than descending into deep depressions, patients can be very outgoing, functional and often more productive than normal — one reason why it often goes undiagnosed.
Despite suggesting her reluctance to talk about her illness, Catherine spoke in detail to the US edition of InStyle this month about her diagnosis.
I don't know how to make relationships last
She's had her fair share of heartache despite only being 22 years old. And Harry Styles' new girlfriend Taylor Swift is the first to admit she isn't confident when it comes to love and making a relationship work.
In an interview with the British edition of Cosmopolitan magazine the American star has spoken out about her troubled love life, as well as her hopes for the future. When asked what she doesn't know about relationships she said: “How to make them last. I've never had a really long relationship, so I have no idea what that's like.” She added: “Wish me luck for the future!” Despite being beautiful, successful and in great shape Taylor, who has been linked to Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal, and more recently Connor Kennedy, admits she doesn't look for the same high standards in a partner.
Nor does she worry about an age gap, which is handy given Styles is four years her junior. She said: “I really don't have any rules about dating when it comes to height, age, career choice, anything like that. It doesn't matter. It's really more about strength of character.
When it comes to age I've been all over the map!” The Love Story singer also admitted that she can't resist a bad boy or a rebel, which is handy given that Harry, who has enjoyed relationships with women 15 years his senior, doesn't play by normal rules either. She said: “The song I Knew You Were Trouble is about when I knowingly made the same mistake twice.
I couldn't resist it — there's that temptation to push yourself into a risky situation with someone who is going to hurt you, and that's what that song is about: not trusting your own instincts and ignoring all the red flags.”
