Beauty Gone Green

Today I'm going to give you the basics on the what, where, why and who of going green through implementing organic skin care product into your beauty regimen.

WHAT?

Simply stated, organic products are grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilisers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionising radiation. However, it is very important to verify that these products are actually what their producers claim they are.

WHERE?

Imagine a magical place far away from everything, where nature embraces you. The Gardens of Sothys is just that, an unspoilt setting in the great countryside of France. It is here, where native flora flourishes immune to pollution, that the Beauty Garden line of certified organic skin care products was born.

WHY?

Certification makes all the difference. For skin care products, you should rely on the following:

ECOCERT - In existence for 16 years, Ecocert is audited by the French Accreditation Committee and other agencies to conduct ongoing monitoring and certification approved by the government. Currently, Ecocert practises inspections and certification services in more than 80 countries outside the European Union, on all five continents.

OHSAS - This British certification specifies the rules for the management of health and safety in the workplace. Recognised internationally, the OHSAS 18001 ensures that the certified company has set up a system that conforms to the required specifications.

WHO?

Anyone who is conscious about the impact on the environment, the use of preservatives, has suffered illness or wants to be preventative, should choose organic skin care products.

The key to this line of products is the Vegetal Moisturizing Activator (VMA). Your skin is protected by the hydrating mantle which safeguards against environmental aggressors and premature aging. The VMA is at the heart of an active complex including three powerful hydrating components:

Organic Cherry bud - Rich in sugars, natural minerals and flavonoids with remarkable moisturising, regenerating and energising properties.

Organic Angelica - Contains polyphenols, tannins, flavonoids, has powerful anti-oxidant and relaxing properties.

Organic Hawthorn - Full of polyphenols, flavonoids and phenolic acids, is anti-free radical and de-stressing.

These are combined with vegetal glycerin, helianthus (Omega six and nine essential fatty acids from the sunflower which prevents inflammation and allergic reactions) and essential oils of rosemary (anti-wrinkle) and lavender (soothing) to protect the skin and prevent dehydration. Hydration and moisture in the epidermis is increased by 40 per cent in two hours after the Beauty Garden Facial performed in the spa.

To maintain these results at home, start with the Cherry Bud Cleanser and Make-up Remover in one, the Floral Water Toner with Angelica and Hawthorne, the Helianthus and Walnut Shell Scrub (at night twice weekly) and finish with the Gentle Face Moisturizer with Rosemary.

Beauty Garden is suitable for all skin types and all ages, ensuring revitalised and protected skin with a radiant complexion. Ask your aesthetician for it and see how perfectly beautiful you'll look and feel while going green.
