Brand Manager, Sunshine Cereals

How did you land this Job?:
I have been working in marketing and sales since 2006 in various industries including retail, media and financial services. Along the way, I have secretly always wanted to enter into the fast moving consumer goods market, which is where I believe my real strength lies. I was made aware of the position through a close friend of mine and I applied. I was interviewed by the current General Manager of the company who described the brand as " one which needed someone to bat for". I was definitely interested in becoming the brands ambassador and so I put my best foot forward. The rest as they say is history.
How long have you been in this Job?:
At one year and three months into the job I am pretty new but have learned and applied so much. I am looking forward to contributing and learning much more in the coming years for Sunshine Cereals to make it number one!
What's great about your job?:
A very fulfilling part of the job is seeing the results of your work in both the company and the consumer when you gain positive feedback about the product and see upward movement in sales. You also get to see various parts of the country you never saw before through various trips. Occasionally the job will be unpredictable, which I believe removes monotony.
