What's your drink of choice?

I've got simple tastes when it comes to spirits... Red Stripe light... nothing better.

What kind of week have you been having?

I just got back from an incredible week down in Jamaica retracing my roots. In addition to the good times and great laughs I shared with my co-anchor Lester Holt (who, by the way, does NOT look too bad in swim trunks), I reconnected with my old friends and family down in Kingston. I went to Nuttall hospital where I was born and actually spoke with the nurse who helped deliver me a million years ago. Lester and I also visited Lime Cay beach for some sun, we sped down the bobsled ride on Mystic Mountain for some adventure, and we took in the nightlife for some relaxation. Now I need a vacation FROM that vacation.

Would you consider yourself a socialite or homebody?

Definitely a homebody.

Heels or flats?

Flats... I'm a Caribbean girl, after all... I'd wear flips all day if I could.

Describe your perfect date?

I love adventure... so perhaps a day of skydiving or waterskiing, or maybe even an afternoon at an amusement park. Anything that requires a little heart, a ton of speed, and a touch of moxie is perfect date material for me.

Who does your hair?

We have wonderful hair/make-up folks at the Today Show who make us look far prettier than we can on our own.

Your nails?

I'm so lucky to have a little salon on my corner. They know me, and my rambunctious style, so they have found a way to do my mani/pedis in under an hour.

What's your latest project?

I'm juggling three different stories right now. But the most interesting is a story on Hollywood make-up artists for blockbuster movies. They're going to put me through a four-hour make-up transformation into a movie character to see what's involved in the process on a daily basis.

What was your last bit of retail therapy?

I workout hard everyday and very rarely give my body a break, so I recently bought myself a 10-pack of massages... does that count?

What kind of music are you currently listening to?

Reggae... always have, always will.

What intrigues you most about Jamaica?

Its spirit! I've been to so many islands in the Caribbean and have met so many wonderful locals, and yet none of them have the same easy-going, laid-back, soulful spirit like Jamaicans. I'm so proud to say I was born on this great island.

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

If I'm not still here at the Today Show or on Saturday Night Live or the like, I'd like to be living on a beach in the islands, working as a personal trainer or waterski instructor or stand-up comic at some resort down there willing to employ me.
