It's Thursday night at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel where the fabulous Christelle Harris is celebrating her big 3-0. The guest list includes Pulse supermodel Jeneil Williams. The stunning 22-year-old makes her entrance in a BCBG LBD with her beau Shay by her side. For someone who has graced the covers of countless magazines since her breakout at the age of 16, Williams, who is, to date, one of Pulse International's most successful models, remains incredibly humble, focused, determined but, thankfully, approachable. The fabella, whose impressive list of credentials includes covers and editorials for Teen Vogue, I-D, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, W, Russian Vogue, Italian Vogue and French Revue Des Modes — plus a place in the Pulse Hall of Fame — finds a quiet corner to catch up.
What are you sipping?
What kind of night are you having?
Just a fun night celebrating with friends.
Jeans or LBD?
LBD always (laughs).
What's in your bag.
I have my cellphone, credit cards and lip balm.
Flats or stilettos?
Who does your hair?
I style my own hair except when I'm working, because then someone comes in and does it for you.
Who does your nails?
I don't really do my nails. I just let them grow and they're really bad (smile).
What perfume are you wearing?
What are your travel essentials?
My Beats by Dré headphones, Ipad and my pillow and blanket my boyfriend bought me.
How would you describe your personal style?
My style is chic and simple; I'm not fussy over clothes, but shoes...I fuss about that.
Are you a romantic comedy or action adventure type of gal?
What is your idea of the perfect man?
I believe the perfect man is someone who listens, is romantic, will put me first and support me in everything I do.
What is your idea of a perfect date?
A beautiful dinner and a stroll in the park... in Paris preferably. I love Paris.
Who inspires you?
Michelle Obama, Grace Jones and Maya Angelou.
What bad habit would you most like to put in your rear-view mirror?
Sleeping in too late. I tend to oversleep.
What's the best thing about your job?
I love travelling and being made up, so I'm happy I get to do that.
Where do you see yourself five years from now?
I see myself being number 1 in the business worldwide, not just in Jamaica. I also hope to start my own business. Not sure what yet because I have a lot of ideas floating around, but we'll see. I really want to have kids also, and maybe acting.
