The colour for 2013 according to the international authority on colour, Pantone, is emerald green. Yep, we're seeing green this year; and there isn't a thing wrong with that as it's such a bold and vibrant colour.

It's also a very regal, and sophisticated colour that mixes well with neutrals, but if you're a bit on the bold side you can try mixing emerald with complementary colours such as yellow, orange and turquoise, to create an energetic, bright and exotic look. A small emerald green accent, such as a throw pillow or vase, will add a touch of elegance to your home without costing you too much. You do not have to go overboard with the trend, unless of course it's your absolute favourite colour and you can live with it for a long time.
