Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are rumoured to have married in a Christmas Day ceremony in the Caribbean, according to reports.

The Telegraph claims the Hollywood power couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on the Turks and Caicos Islands. News of their reported nuptials comes eight months after Brad, 49, and Angelina, 37, announced their engagement in April 2012 after seven years together.

The pair spent the Christmas and New Year holiday at the private Parrot Cay estate of fashion designer Donna Karan. Joining the duo were their six children, Brad's parents Jane and William Pitt, his brother Doug and sister Julie.

Speculation they had finally wed comes after a magazine report in early December claimed the pair had picked up their wedding rings from celebrity jeweller Neil Lane. InTouch magazine wrote: “On November 27, a stylist for the actress picked up wedding rings from Neil Lane jewellers for the couple.”

In November, Brad told reporters on the red carpet of the New York premiere of his film Killing Me Softly the nuptials would be “soon”. Brad and Angelina met on the set of Mr And Mrs Smith, which was filmed in 2004. He said: “The time is nigh. It's soon. I got a good feeling about it. I am getting more pressure from my kids, and it is something I want to do within their lifetime, but I also feel like the time has come.”

Terminator 3 star arrested

Nick Stahl has been arrested for allegedly committing a 'lewd act' at a porn shop in Los Angeles. The Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines actor was arrested by Los Angeles Police Department undercover vice officers at the Hollywood store at around 6 pm after they allegedly discovered him "touching himself" in a private booth. However, Nick, 33, insisted the whole incident was a "misunderstanding" when he spoke to TMZ as he left the police station a few hours later. Stahl was not picked up from police custody by anyone, and instead made his own way home. This is the latest in a string of setbacks for the actor who was reported missing in May and again in June.

Winslet ditches plans for her £2-m fortress

Kate Winslett's hopes of turning her new home into a fortress have hit a snag. The actress bought a £2-million property in West Sussex in September, before announcing her plans to return to Britain following a spell living in the United States. The 37-year-old and her new husband Ned RocknRoll, 34, wanted to erect oak gates and electric fencing around the 15th Century pile. But I can reveal they have now shelved the idea after parish council members complained they would be 'visually intrusive'. Despite the setback, at least the couple can be assured of some privacy when they go on their honeymoon — Ned's uncle Sir Richard Branson has offered them the use of his estate on Necker Island in the Caribbean.
