Dear Doc:
I have a fish pond in my house with lattice sunroof above. I'm wondering if I could hang orchids on the latticework?
HS, St Elizabeth
Dear HS
Only if you'll be using organic methods of spraying for insects. Using chemicals near your fish pond will certainly destroy them. I have seen a few cases where spraying plants near fish ponds have killed the fish.
Dear Doc:
What is it that causes the crack in the leaf of the phalaenopsis?
Janet
Dear Janet
Irregular watering causes cracks in the middle of your phals. Try to water them at the same time each day.
