Dear Doc:
How can I get my dendrobiums acclimatised to the sun?
Rose Marie
Dear Rose Marie:
I would suggest that you wait until the end of September when the time is starting to get cool. This will give the orchids quite a few months to slowly acclimatise to the weather before the summer sun.
Dear Doc:
I have purchased quite a few hybrid oncidiums and have lost them all. I adore them, but I'm afraid to purchase any more, as they are rather expensive.
Dorothy
Dear Dorothy:
Most oncidiums prefer filtered sunlight. The leaves must be lime green, If they are dark green then they are not getting enough sunshine. They should be dry before watering, and should be re-potted once every two years. They also grow much better in moist, well-ventilated areas.
