Sir Elton John has reignited his feud with Madonna by labelling her a "fairground strippe" in an extraordinary new interview. The 65-year-old singer didn't hold back with his criticism of Madonna, with his outburst triggered as he claimed the singer had been 'horrible' to Lady Gaga, who is godmother to his and husband David Furnish's 19-month-old son Zachary. Elton added that Madonna, 53, had no right to criticise other artists because her 'career is over' and her recent MDNA world tour was less than well received. Speaking on Australian news and current affairs programme Sunday Night, Elton said: 'She's such a nightmare. Sorry, her career is over. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger ****. If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly. But no, she had to go and prove ... she looks like a f***ing fairground stripper. She's been so horrible to Gaga."
Elton's comments come after Madonna hit out at Gaga for her track Born This Way having too many similarities to her own 1989 hit Express Yourself. She said: "I thought, 'What a wonderful way to redo my song.' I mean, I recognised the chord changes. I thought it was ... interesting." Earlier this year, Elton reignited his long-running feud with Madonna by implying she wouldn't sing live at the Super Bowl half-time show, saying she should "lip-synch good" in her performance.

Olympic star Gabby Douglas's mother attacks critics about daughter's hair
The mother of women's gymnastics all-around champion Gabrielle Douglas has attacked critics of her daughter's hair. Natalie Hawkins, the proud mother of 16-year-old Flying Squirrel's proud mother, asked those who have labelled her daughter's hair messy: "Are you trying to ruin her self-confidence?"
She told Fashionista.com: "How ignorant is it of people to comment on her hair and she still has more competitions to go?" The teenager said she was a little confused when she logged onto her computer after winning her second gold medal in three days and discovered people were debating her pulled-back look. Miss Douglas uses gel, clips and a ponytail holder to keep things in place while she competes, a style she's worn for years. Her mother, who does not live with her daughter and allegedly filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, said people began offering their opinions on the youngster's hair months ago.
"I started hearing about [her hair] earlier this year actually," she said. "What is funny is I had someone come do her hair before the Olympics. We put all this effort into getting her hair done and they still didn't like it."
She, like many others, are confused over what people don't like about her hair, exactly.
"She didn't have flyaways," she said. "When you look at pictures, it's tight back just like everyone else's and all of the girls had the messy ponytails which is just their generation. Most of the women who were commenting I think are a little bit older".
Hawkins filed for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, according to documents submitted earlier this year in Virginia, reported TMZ. The documents show that Hawkins, who has previously spoken out about gymnastics being an expensive sport, has debt totalling $79,754.14.
