Models and It girls Nastashia Mitchell and Sydia Valentine visit Racquel Jenkins Moss-Solomon, owner of Racquel J Make-Up Studio, for an appointment with her faux tanning equipment. Moss-Solomon takes our girls from bland to amber alert in such an impressively natural-looking way (no orange streaks here) you'd swear they had just emerged from the sun-kissed shores of any of our coastal hot spots. For those with deeper complexions, the airbrush is also a good way to mask cellulite and to layer your mahogany skin with a burnished polish, making you an ultra-exotic standout when you're spied chipping on the asphalt during the Bacchanal Jamaica Road March.

TIP: Stay away from your shower for up to eight hours after the application. This gives your newly bronzed look time to set. No worries, though, you can put your clothes back on during this waiting period — they won’t affect the tan.

TIP: Your faux tan will last the same as a naturally acquired one — two to three weeks of fabulous bronze.
