Good Girl Gone Thug!

People Post

Saturday, January 28, 2012

She has millions in the bank and an entourage which would dwarf a basketball team. But despite her life of excess, money and privilege, it seems Rihanna would rather be branded like a common thug. The wayward singer revealed her new etching — the less than poetic slogan 'Thug Life' — inscribed on her knuckles in a fetching pale pink shade. She tweeted the picture, posing with her fists clenched to show off her bizarre new inking. Last September, the Only Girl In The World star was pictured blowing kisses to fans on the balcony of her hotel in Brazil, having written the words on her hands in a pink Sharpie pen. But now it seems Rihanna has gone under the needle for the permanent body art, adding the caption: '_ All these b****es screaming that 2pac back _ #THUGLIFE.' The Brit-winner appears to have taken inspiration from rapper Tupac (2Pac) Shakur's tattoo, who had the same slogan inked across his stomach. The slain rapper was murdered in 1996, after he was shot four times during a drive-by killing. She also appeared to have a new marking on her back, as she was also pictured lying on the tattoo artist Mark Mahoney's table with a bottle of beer. The 23-year-old is a huge fan of tattoos, with approximately 14 to 15 visible inkings already.

The feud is over!

Time appears to have healed all wounds for Barbara Walters and Star Jones. The 49-year-old lawyer will return to her former chat show, The View, this February. However, she will not be returning as a co-host, but as a guest. She will discuss her participation in the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign on February 22 with current panellists Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg. Walters shocked many when she made the announcement today, as it has been believed the two had no love for one another. "Star and I have been heart-to-heart for many years," the 82-year-old journalist explained on her show this morning. We've had lunches together and discussions together. We had open-heart surgery within months of each other. So we are very happy to have her on, and it will be a nice day for all of us to see her." This comes as a complete surprise, given that the women parted ways on a bitter note in 2006. They have been at the centre of a very public controversy since Jones claimed that she 'felt like she had been fired' after nine seasons as co-host when ABC opted not to renew her contract. Apparently their mutual commitment to battling heart disease has them feeling the love again.

My, how you've grown!

It's hard to believe, but Nadya Suleman's octuplets are already three years old. Octomom's eight little angels celebrated their third year of life with an aquatic-themed bash in Los Angeles earlier this week, though their actual birthday is today. The 36-year-old mother of 14 threw her tots the party to end all parties at the Seascape Kids Fun venue. Though she recently confessed that she is losing her home, it appeared Suleman didn't spare any expense on her children. She may have had a wee bit of help from various companies, who appeared to have donated gifts and goodies. The kids tucked into cupcakes and cake from Mama Jen's Cupcakes; they had pizza and juice boxes for their main meal of the day. Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariah, Makai, Josiah, Jeremiah and Jonah also received free glitter tattoos, as well as free trainers from Gotta Flurt Shoes. The latter were hand-delivered by 16-year-old singer Savannah Phillips, who also sang 'happy birthday' to the group. Though one would have assumed Suleman might dress up for the party, she actually looked quite down to earth in a simple cranberry-coloured top and sweatpants. Her face was devoid of makeup and she wore her hair back in a simple ponytail. Her six other children — Elijah Makai, Amerah Yasmeen, Joshua Jacob, Aiden, Calyssa Airelle and Caleb Kai — were also on hand to enjoy the festivities. Suleman seemed to enjoy herself at the party and forget her recent financial woes. She appeared on The Wendy Williams Show last week to announce that she's losing her home.
