"Hollywood should be afraid of them!"

People Post

Friday, January 20, 2012

It is no surprise that Jon Voight is proud of his grandchildren, but the actor claims he has something of a sixth sense that the Jolie-Pitt children will become stars just like their parents. The 73-year-old says he has "a feeling" the brood will grow up to follow in the footsteps of mum Angelina Jolie and dad Brad Pitt and become actors. He told television show E! News: "I have no doubt." And he added that he believes the entertainment industry should start preparing for their success. He said: "Hollywood should be afraid of them! These guys are really something." The Mission Impossible actor is a granddad to Maddox, 10; Pax, eight; Zahara, seven; Shiloh, five; and three-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. Despite his premonitions, Voight said that he will stand by the children in whatever career they eventually decide to pursue. He said: "I try to give them support as Brad and Angie do." Then added: "They really let these kids be who they are."

Get used to life Stateside, Posh!

She's certainly made the most of her new life in Los Angeles, and is regularly seen fitting in some retail therapy in between family time. So Victoria Beckham would no doubt have been thrilled when husband David announced that he had signed a new two-year deal with American football team Los Angeles Galaxy.

The 36-year-old sportsman revealed yesterday he turned down 'many offers' from around the world before agreeing to re-sign with LA Galaxy after his five-year contract with the team expired last month. Writing on the club's website, Beckham said: "This was an important decision for me. I had many offers from clubs from around the world; however, I'm still passionate about playing in America and winning trophies with the Galaxy. I've seen first-hand how popular soccer is now in the States and I'm as committed as ever to growing the game here. My family and I are incredibly happy and settled in America and we look forward to spending many more years here." The announcement has put paid to rumours that Beckham was considering a move to Paris St Germain. And it is believed Beckham turned down the transfer to the French team after considering the effect a move to Paris would have on his family. PSG's sporting director Leonardo said earlier this month: "It's a shame, but the welfare of his family in Los Angeles, the wish not to change everything in his life, weighed heavily."

Hollywood heroine

As a Hollywood star, she's adored around the world for her turns in Avatar and Star Trek. But as she drove through Los Angeles, it looked like there was a more honourable reason to be a fan of Zoe Saldana after she rushed to the aid of an injured woman after a car accident. After witnessing a traffic collision in Culver City, the 33-year-old jumped out of her car to check on the victim. With the help of another passer-by, Saldana helped the bleeding woman out of her car and sat her on the sidewalk. Saldana then whipped out her mobile phone and called emergency services. And despite the ambulance being on its way, the actress made sure she remained with the woman until she received medical care.

After being guaranteed the women would be OK, Saldana returned to her car. Saldana's rescue comes after she has been romantically linked to Bradley Cooper in recent weeks. The couple are said to be dating after falling for each other on set of The Words last year. The couple are both single after Cooper split from long-term love Renee Zellweger last March and Saldana calling off her engagement to Keith Britton in November. Cooper, 37, was briefly linked to Jennifer Lopez — before she hooked up with toyboy lover Caspar Smart — and Olivia Wilde.
