Hot celeb trend: riding the subway
People Post
Monday, October 15, 2012
It seems to be all the rage these days, outrageously rich celebrities likening themselves to regular citizens by saying, 'Hey, I'm just like you.' And now Katie Holmes has cottoned onto the craze, jumping on the same bandwagon — or rather tube carriage — as Jessica Alba and Jay-Z, and even Rihanna who sampled the London Underground. The mother-of-one was seen riding the New York subway last Wednesday, going incognito with her hair scraped back into a ponytail, opting to go make-up-free beneath large sunglasses. She also seemed to be prepping for winter, wearing a knitted cream sweater and dark blue jeans, carrying an oversized leather bag and the signature pose of a commuter — keeping her head buried. Using public transport is a stark change from her former life as Mrs Cruise, when she relied not only on chauffeur-driven cars, but also on exclusive A-list travel methods of helicopter ferrying. It's almost as if Holmes' ride on the subway was a metaphorical two fingers up at ex-husband Tom.

She seems to be revelling in her new-found role of being an expectant mother. And it appears Amber Rose is developing her own staple pregnancy style. Just two days after she stepped out in a summer dress tied into a knot at the bottom to make it shorter, she has stepped out in a very similar style to accentuate her growing bump. The mother-to-be proudly showed off her physique last week in a charcoal cotton dress which clung to her belly. Amber, 28, finished off the look with a frayed denim sleeveless jacket which showed off her large arm tattoo. And she wore gold flip flops and large sunglasses to complete the ensemble. She has been trying to keep herself occupied while her fiance rapper Wiz Khalifa is busy recording. Last Saturday Rose, who came to prominence as the former girlfriend of rapper Kanye West, took to Twitter to reveal her sadness after having to bid farewell to the rapper for two months.

New book claims Liz slept with Reagan
For a lady married eight times (two of which were to the same man), it would be fair to say Elizabeth Taylor enjoyed the company of various men throughout her glittering showbiz career. And now it has been claimed that not only did she have a string of romances with fellow screen stars — but also with Presidents Ronald Reagan and John F Kennedy. The former liaison allegedly occurred when she was a teenager, with the latter encounter reportedly taking place as a threesome with actor Robert Stack, according to an explosive new biography. Elizabeth Taylor: There is Nothing Like a Dame — penned by authors Danforth Prince and Darwin Potter — is an unauthorised biography that explores the colourful love live of the late National Velvet star. According to the book, the actress confessed to a friend after she was seduced at Reagan's Hollywood Hills home, saying: "Reagan was treating me like a grown woman, and that thrilled me.
"We sat on his sofa and I could tell he wanted to get it on but he seemed reluctant to make the first move. I became the aggressor. After a heavy make-out session on the sofa, we went into the bedroom."
The book claims Reagan [born in 1911] was 36 at the time of the alleged encounter, which means it would have been 1947. That would put Taylor, born in 1932, at just 15 years-old.
