Jennifer was also joined by a special visitor as she filmed a high- profile guest role on NBC show Smash last Wednesday — her little boy David Otunga Jnr. The three-year-old was spotted holding his mother's hand before she went into hair and make-up.The Academy Award-winning actress was on the set of Smash in New York City, filming scenes with co-star Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty. Jennifer, 30, who recently lost 80 pounds, later emerged from the hair and make-up trailer with her hair teased into glamorous cascading curls and striking lilac lips to match her trendy nails.Hudson has been cast as Veronica Moore, a big-time Broadway singer, who tangles with rivals Karen (McPhee) and Ivy (Hilty). According to NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt: "Her character will represent someone who reached their Broadway dream but also paid a price for it."

Tori Spelling 'lacked so much confidence' when she was younger. The former Beverly Hills 90210 star admitted her past insecurities in a blog post. The pregnant 38-year-old actress gives advice to her former self in the online article. She said: "I would tell 21-year-old Tori that she's strong, beautiful, smart, and can do anything that she sets her mind to. At 21, my biggest obstacle (well, aside from a bad boyfriend) was myself." She wrote of her days playing Donna Martin on the teenage soap: "I lacked such self-confidence that I constantly stood in my own way."

In 1995, Tori ended a two-year relationship with live-in boyfriend Nick Savalas. She confessed to Entertainment Weekly: "It was a nightmare. He was never physically abusive, but he was verbally abusive, telling me 10 times a day how ugly I was. "Although I don't believe in regrets and think every moment makes us the women and moms we ultimately become, it would be nice to give this advice!"

Spelling is expecting her fourth child with Dean McDermott, 45, this autumn, is mother to son Liam, six, and daughters Stella, five, and Hattie, 10 months. She is also stepmother to McDermott's son, Jack, 13.
