Lascelles Limited introduces new whisky brand
Thursday, January 31, 2013
Single-Malt devotees were out in their numbers Friday last, at The Spanish Court Hotel, eager to compare tasting notes, while hosts Lascelles Limited — led by Global Brand Ambassador for Burn Stewart Distillers Dr Kirstie McCallum — were only too willing to seduce their palates with: The Scottish Leader Whisky, Bunnahabhain's 12-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, and Bunnahabhain's 18-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Personalised settings allowed tasters the opportunity to check for colour, examine the nose, experience the sensation on the palate, savour the full and lingering finish — marvelling perhaps at the magic of whisky's three essentials: wheat, malt and barley that combine perfectly to reveal distinctively different tastes. Indeed, the individuality of all three whiskies was confirmed as participants proudly exclaimed which was their favourite single malt.
"The consumption of Single Malt Scotch in Jamaica has seen small but steady growth" shared Lascelles Limited consultant Marilyn Bennett. Based on Friday night's feedback the growth will definitely remain steady.
