Holt was recently in Kingston, Jamaica, where he stayed at the fab Spanish Court Hotel. His maternal grandparents were born in Jamaica and he has visited our country three times.
What would you do if you were mayor (of Kingston) for a day?
If I were mayor of Kingston for a day I would move City Hall to Lime Cay.

The last bit of music that stirred my soul was Ray Charles's arrangement of Ray's Rock House.

What upsets you?
I am upset by meanness.
What was your last bit of retail therapy?
I recently hit the local music shop and walked out with yet another bass guitar for my collection.
You've gradually made your mark in a competitive industry, what advice would you give to the 'young and ambitious'?
My advice to the young and ambitious is to master several job skills. Cost-conscious companies are increasingly dependent on employees who can wear several hats.
What's your advice to a first-time visitor to Jamaica?
My advice to first time visitors is take your time. It's a big island. Get around. Take it ALL in.
Finally, what's your philosophy?
My philosophy is...don't worry about things that you cannot control.
