New Year BEAUTY RESOLUTIONS – COMMIT

Alright, everybody; so far so good, “NYBR #1 — Detox” went well and we are on the right track.
Now let's focus on a sustainable way forward. In any successful venture, one of the main ingredients is a firm commitment to your resolve. There are many ways to approach any problem. However, in my experience, there is one tried-and-true formula which turns attempt into reward. Follow my foolproof guide to a beautiful, well you this new year and remember to be LOVELY...
Lifestyle:
Make detox part of your routine. To do this, think of it as a long-term investment in yourself and include certain elements such as eating organic, exercising and facials into an easily sustainable lifestyle as this ensures longevity and enjoyment while getting results. Start with a comfortable budget and select what works best for you. Work with a lifestyle coach to get going and try the buddy system to keep you on track.
Overcome:
For some of us, overcoming bad habits and becoming fully committed is easier said than done. However, it is vital in becoming your best self that you let go of the old negatives that weigh on you and challenge yourself to upholding new positives that spur you on to higher heights. Talk to someone you trust. For some of us a session with a professional psychologist would be best, for others a best friend would suffice and still for some, simply journaling works wonders. Share your experiences, doubts and fears and express your hopes, dreams and aspirations for a new you in 2012. It might be to eliminate cellulite on your thighs or remove acne scars or hyper-pigmentation on your face. Whatever it may be, write it all down, and be specific. Seeing it in black and white will assist you in affirming what you truly want and is a great reference point throughout your journey to happiness.
Volunteer:
Just as you benefit from the knowledge of others, so too will others gain from your benevolence. Always remember you have everything you need to succeed in life and sharing with those less fortunate is a gift you can give freely. Not only do you help someone else, but you are blessed with a sense of fulfilment. I volunteer concepts and information that have worked for me in the hope that others will find great success in their lives. From achieving flawless skin to where to find the most exquisite, unique fashion, I believe that it is in giving that you receive.
Educate:
I aim to learn something new every day. Educate yourself by reading and researching. Find the information needed to help you create a successful life. If you believe it you can achieve it. Don't take knowledge for granted, I am always able to start a conversation at a dinner table or in company I've met for the first time as a result. So make it your goal to read about the latest in anti-aging active ingredients, for example, so that you can have a meaningful discussion about your skincare regimen the next time you visit your aesthetician.
Lean:
Live a lean life. Simplify every aspect of life from cooking to dressing. Not only would you spend less, but you will enjoy more. The key here is to prioritise and ensure that you are fulfilling your dreams. I used to be a shopaholic, accumulating clothes, shoes and handbags I didn't have space for. Stop and take stock. Now I
focus on what makes me whole and content, specifically nutrition, skincare and travel. Spend on what makes you your best self.
Youthful:
Laugh and always keep your childish innocence. Anybody who knows me knows I love to laugh, and enjoy good company. I do what makes sense to me to spend a happy life, and in the process have transformed myself into a happy person. As the saying goes: "Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life." Skincare is my passion and as capable as I may be in other fields, I have realised that helping others to achieve their best skin is my contribution to this fabulous world in which we live, and being young at heart while doing it, is icing on the cake. Find what you love to do and do it!
Commit to being LOVELY and you'll rule the world.
