Of Two Black Presidents...That North Coast Tussle & 'Quality People'

Tatler

Monday, September 06, 2010

WITH FNO on everybody's lips, the only thing left is for our beloved Minister of Finance to declare Friday, September 10 a GCT-free day or perhaps a 50% discount-off-GCT day... Hmmm, what an absolutely delicious thought.

The joke making the rounds up North this Labour Day is the fact that there are in the US two sitting black presidents (get it?).

Details are still a tad sketchy about the tussle that took place last weekend with the former MP and colleague and the anointed one.

Many are calling this the misquote of the decade... "The danger is, if all of us were to resign tomorrow, in a sort of mass protest, nobody can predict what would happen next in terms of the quality of people who would take up the vacuum". The word 'quality' is what many have a problem with since the-you know-what has just been returned after much, dare we use the word, 'lobbying'.

Well, it's bad enough that millions were owed in rent but to now be spreading tales about no more patties and rock cakes for the masses!! Can we move on, for once, from the 'pop down'?

It's official! Protection is no longer guaranteed once money is owed, even if you're 'nice and brown'. It takes cash to care and that's the only sentence that seems to be spouting these days.

À Bientôt!

PS What goes up must come down, right? Albeit after 48 hours of frantic blood work.

PPS No hiding at all since the couple is now in their second trimester and are both beaming from ear to ear.
