Ooh la la: c'est Madame Posh!

It is the setting that Victoria Beckham must have always dreamed of. And posing in nothing but black underwear and a jumper, Posh certainly makes her mark on 31 Rue Cambon, the home of the celebrated Coco Chanel. Standing on the hallowed mirrored staircase where Madame Chanel would famously stand and spy on her audience during fashion shows, Mrs Beckham, 38, is pictured alongside Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld. The slender brunette said: "I'm honoured to be here in Paris. I love Paris and the French style, so chic. Sometimes I feel a little bit French myself." With her long legs - and traditional pout - on display, the mother-of-four posed for a photo-shoot for French Elle.

Her outfit - a fitted black sweater by Lanvin and underwear by Eres, teamed with Chanel jewellery and towering boots by Giuseppe Zanotti Design - is a far cry from Madame Chanel's rather more sedate pearls and perfectly tailored suits. Mrs Beckham is then seen standing on the iconic staircase in nothing but the pants and a white Fendi shirt, with her legs perfectly shown off by black Sergio Rossi stilettos - and looking sexy in a pair of glasses from the Victoria Beckham optical range.

Robert De Niro and wife left homeless

Robert De Niro has been left homeless after a house fire. The 69-year-old actor and his wife Grace Hightower had to move out of the home in Central Park West in New York City in June after a blaze caused by a lint build-up in a clothes dryer spread across the building. Despite originally planning to renovate they are now moving out permanently after it was deemed uninhabitable. They had lined up a $100,000-a-month apartment to rent on the 64th floor of the Park Imperial, but the deal turned sour with De Niro claiming it was 'misrepresented' to him. A source told New York Post's Page Six: "There was an issue with misrepresentation of the apartment and they managed to get out of the lease. The apartment went back on the market two days ago." Hightower has also been heard telling friends she and her husband are looking for a five-bedroom rental which has 'tons of closet space'. An eyewitness at the time of the fire - which took an hour to put out - was shocked at how tall the flames were. The onlooker, who was driving at the time, said: "Right above my head these 12 ft tall flames exploded out of the fifth floor window."
