Princess Diana's most iconic dresses set to raise over £800k in 'fabulous and historic' auction
People Post
Saturday, February 23, 2013
Ten of Princess Diana's most iconic dresses that her son William persuaded her to part with for charity are set to fetch up to £830,000 at auction.
They include the Saturday Night Diva creation that Diana wore when she memorably danced with John Travolta at a White House ball in 1985. The Victor Edelstein midnight-blue silk velvet outfit became the most famous dress ever worn by Diana and is valued at up to £300,000.
A Catherine Walker pink silk evening gown made for Diana's State visit to India in 1992 is tipped to raise up to £120,000. There are five other glamorous Catherine Walker evening gowns up for grabs; another by Victor Edelstein; a Bruce Oldfield black velvet gown; and a Zandra Rhodes white chiffon cocktail dress.

'Like diamonds in the sky'
They were spotted enjoying a romantic stroll during her 25th birthday celebrations in Hawaii earlier in the day. And as Rihanna blew out the candles on her cake at a party later in the evening, her on/off boyfriend Chris Brown was once again right by her side. In intimate snaps the pop star shared on her Instagram account on Wednesday, the rapper is seen nuzzling into the singer's neck as the Loud star wraps her arms around him.
Dressed in a revealing white cut-out dress, Rihanna's huge smile says it all. She simply captioned the snap: 'Like #diamonds in the sky', the words from her recent hit song. In another more cheeky snap, captioned '#birthdaybehavior', Brown is seen with his hands around her waist, resting his face on her arm as Rihanna pulls a sultry pose.

'They can write songs about me': Taylor Swift admits
She's made a name for herself by writing revealing songs about her previous relationships. But Taylor Swift, who wowed with her rendition of Trouble at the Brits on Wednesday night, has admitted that she's happy for the shoe to be on the other foot. Admitting that 'it's fair game' for her ex-boyfriends to write songs about her, the American singer opens up in an interview for April's InStyle.
The songstress might be tempting fate, as two of her most recent former boyfriends, John Mayer and Harry Styles, are two of the world's most high-profile musicians. But luckily for her, the One Direction star had nothing but nice things to say about Taylor at the Brits Sony after-party on Wednesday night.' I thought her performance was really good, she looked great,' he told MailOnline, clearly not holding on to any bitterness.
