Baretta star Robert Blake let it rip at Piers Morgan during a sensational interview last Tuesday where he finally opened up about being acquitted of his wife's murder.

The 78-year-old actor was in full combat mode as he launched into a profanity-laden tirade against Morgan who questioned him about how truthful he was being about the incident. Blake was acquitted of wife Bonnie Lee Bakley's murder in 2005 following a spell in prison and four years after the killing, in which Bakley was shot in the head while sitting in a car outside a Los Angeles restaurant where they had just dined.

But the actor was found liable for her wrongful death by a Californian court in the same year and ordered to pay $30 million as part of a civil action taken by Bakley's children. Firing at Morgan, Blake said: “You want to get to the truth if you can. Does that mean I'm lying to you? Tell me where I'm lying.” Morgan retorted: “I'm not saying you're lying.” Blake then went on: “But you say you don't know if I'm telling the truth, what the hell's the difference?'”

“I'm saying I've met you for, what, 20 minutes?” Morgan replied, before, asking the In Cold Blood actor: “Why are you being so defensive?” Things then got even more heated, with Blake spitting back: “Because you just insulted me … nobody tells me I'm a liar.

“You said I might not be telling the truth. What the hell is the difference? … I've never allowed anybody to ask me the questions that you're asking. I allowed you to do that because I trust you.” And in the second part of the show, he called Morgan 'Charlie Potatoes’, and continued to refer to his as 'Charlie' until the end of the interview when he called him 'Pierce'.

Jersey Shore castmates laugh off Snooki's decision to marry

Walking down the aisle with the love of your life is supposed to be a cause for celebration. But Snooki was greeted with ridicule when she shared the news with her Jersey Shore castmates.

The mother-to-be revealed she would be marrying Jionni LaValle back in March, with the moment she announced it to be aired on an upcoming episode of spin-off show Snooki & JWoww. In the clip, the 24-year-old can be seen having dinner with her fellow MTV reality stars as Vinny Guadagnino seems to take the news to heart - perhaps as the pair once shared a one-night stand. He says, “I am a little upset by this,” before patronising her with his words of wisdom, “Do you think two years is long enough time to marry someone and spend the rest of your days with?” Ronnie then gets in on the action, stating the obvious: “You know that's one person for the rest of your life?” Not quite finished with his tirade, Vinny crudely adds: “That's one penis for the rest of your life.”

To which Snooki quips: “I love his penis.”

Speaking privately to the camera, Vinny then continues: “Jionni was a onenight stand of Nicole, engaged means the rest of your life... it's crazy.” Clearly disappointed by the group's reaction, Snooki later says: “This is not something to bust my balls about - and the fact that Jenni is chiming in with them, I'm like, "B***h, really?"'

The sneak peek closes with the rather doomed prediction from Vinny, prophesying: “You guys are going to get divorced soon anyway.”

While walking through Manhattan's Washington Square Park, Meg Ryan joined Madonna, Sarah Jessica Parker and Angelina Jolie in the growing number of A-list stars with unsightly blood vessels protruding from their skinny arms, thanks to the pressure to remain fit and thin in Hollywood. The 50-year-old blonde went for a tomboyish look Thursday last, covering her famous face in a low-slung newsboy cap and showing her midriff in a brown T-shirt with navy trousers and black sandals.

As she carried her iPod, the Sleepless in Seattle star kept one ear inside her music and the other ear on the bustling streets of New York. But sadly, Ryan’s most prominent feature is no longer her effervescent smile — it's her veiny arms that stand out.

She is said to have always worked hard to keep her body in shape with regular workouts, and is also believed to have had lip implants as well as Botox injections to avoid the signs of aging.
