It all started with two siblings eager to be charitable on vacation trips to their mother's Jamaican homeland — toting along stationery supplies and book bags for children in need — and has now grown into a Hollywood celeb magnet Foundation that hosts weeklong acting workshops as well as baseball, football and basketball camps by American athletic stars, and, oh yes, it also awards a number of annual university scholarships. Andrew and Christina Bachelor started the RuJohn Foundation, named after their grandparents Ruth and John Tulloch, in 2003, and a decade later, the Foundation attracts a solid roster of recognisable faces from the mediums of television and film and also sportsmen and women in different disciplines. Shifting gears from Page 2, our Saturday Social lens were trained on speakers and past and present recipients at RuJohn's awards banquet hosted at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach resort in St James on Wednesday evening.
