Shocked parents brand Lady GaGa's bloody stage show as 'sickening'

Saturday, June 05, 2010

She's not exactly known for her squeaky-clean image and has been no stranger to controversy during her rise to fame.

But has Lady GaGa possibly taken things too far? The singer was slammed by horrified fans after she pretended to be murdered and eaten on stage by a crazed psycho killer, just hours after the horrific shooting spree across Cumbria County in North West England.

Thousands of fans and parents, who had taken their children to the concert at the MEN Arena in Manchester, looked on in horror as the 24-year old singer, dressed in a skimpy leather basque, was ambushed by a man dressed in black, who then appeared to bite into her neck causing fake blood to spurt down her chest. The scene on stage came as Cumbrians were still coming to terms with the mass slaughter perpetrated by cab driver Derrick Bird, 52, who killed 12 in a gun rampage before turning the gun on himself. One mother who took her 14-year-old daughter to the show said: "I was absolutely sickened at what I saw. It was extremely tasteless to see her pretend to be attacked in such a gory way.

Given all the violence which happened in Cumbria just hours earlier, pop stars should be a lot more sensitive and not be featuring scenes of murder in their shows." The Bad Romance singer was also engulfed by dancers playing crazed killers and appeared to lie dying on stage covered in blood. Lynn Costello of Mothers Against Violence said: "I wouldn't let any child of mine go to see Lady GaGa -- I think she's tasteless anyway and this scene appears to back what I believe. They're role models, they need to take responsibility. It's tasteless."

50 Cent bulks up again after his astonishing crash diet for film role

Just one week ago shocking pictures emerged of rapper 50 Cent looking emaciated after losing 56 pounds in just nine weeks. The six-foot US hip hop artiste went on a strict liquid diet, and spent three hours in the gym daily to drop down to almost 154 pounds to play a cancer-stricken American football player in an upcoming film.

But last night he appeared at a gig in Denver, Colorado, looking a bit more like his old self - complete with bling crucifix, watch and bracelet. "I've been eating, I'll be back in shape in no time," said the usually pumped-up musician. The star - real name Curtis Jackson - finished filming on May 12 for his role in Things Fall Apart in which he both acts and directs. 'Fiddy' has won plaudits for his dedication to the film, which also stars Goodfellas actor Ray Liotta.

Hollywood awash with rumours that Mariah Carey is pregnant with first child

Rumours and blog postings that Mariah Carey is pregnant with her first child have reached fever pitch in the US and on the Internet.

The diva recently dropped out of a new film, fuelling speculation that she might be expecting a child with husband Nick Cannon. "They are both very happy and very excited," one source is quoted as saying.

There is no hard evidence to back up the claims, but fans have sensed there is something telling about a comment from Mariah's spokeswoman Cindi Berger, who refused to deny the news. "I'm not at liberty to discuss Mariah's personal life at this moment," she told website Radar Online. The news comes just weeks after the couple renewed their vows to celebrate their second anniversary.

Get over it, she's obviously had this performance planned before the shooting's took place, why should she have to change one of her stunning performances just for this.
