Salut! 2015 moved on to its second event on Wednesday night at Jamaica’s small slice of Greece, Opa! Greek
Restaurant & Sanatorini Skylounge, Hope Road. Host Alexx Antaeus, director — OPA!, brought his own taste to
the proceedings by serving up four delightful Greek wines, King of Hearts — a dry red wine; Queen of Hearts —
a dry white wine; and the Kleoni Red/White medium sweet duo, to the specially invited guests in the intimate
setting.

While southern European wine production can trace its origins to Greece, it was not until the 1970s that its
own wine industry began to take shape. Antaeus was pleased to introduce Jamaicans to his native wines. Each
wine was served with tantalising finger foods, including cheese pies — light pastry filled with a selection of
Greek cheeses, handmade by his visiting mother, Maria Dianmantakou.
