The buzz was palpable on Tuesday both inside and outside of the iconic Carib cinema where the Jamaica National (JN) Group had bought out the house for a private screening of the seventh instalment of the uber-popular Star Wars franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Scores of patrons walked the JN blue carpet into a capacity- filled Carib 5 lobby where DJ Narity’s hip-hop/pop mixes upped the excitement quotient. There were scrumptious hors d’oeuvres to be had courtesy of Gourmet Caterers and libations from Select Brands. The movie later received rave reviews, and guests, upon exiting, received power banks from event planners Monumental Partners Limited. Thursday Social takes you on the blue carpet.
