The Style Dimension

When it comes to haircare, there is no doubt in Salon Dimension Ltd proprietor Eveth McPhail's mind that the knack for it has to come naturally. Her interest in styling started at an early age, and there was never a doubt that this would be something she would pursue for the rest of her life. "I have always loved hair and I especially love cutting hair and seeing how happy my clients are about their finished product, shared McPhail. She opened the salon in 1999 and has since been a staple at the Wyndham Kingston hotel. The Under the Dryer team popped in for a visit to see what Salon Dimension had to offer.
Clients: Dawn Reynolds-Smith, Karen Campbell, Shanique McPhail, Shaun'te Smith and Juliet Green.
Natural Finish
Shanique McPhail, student
Being the daughter of a salon owner has certainly had its perks for Shanique who always looks chic when she makes her way to school. The recent graduate of the St Andrew High School for Girls, popped in the salon to get a sleek new look for her first day at the University of the West Indies. She straightened her natural hair temporarily and decided to wear it down. "I like the fact that though my hair is natural, I still have the option to try a different look without damaging my hair or doing anything permanent," shared McPhail.
Steps:
* Cleanse the hair with Design Essentials Moisture Retention shampoo
* Replenish the hair with It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in conditioner
* Blow-dry the hair with the assistance of a roller brush
* Use a flat iron to style the hair.
* Clip the ends of the hair.
* Mist with hair Design Essentials Diamonds Oil Sheen Spray.

Shanique's take:
I love it! My hair feels nice and smooth and bouncy. Its natural and it stays straight for a good while until I wash it. I'm thinking my next look will be to wear my hair curly!
