Nicki Minaj is said to have threatened Mariah Carey after her American Idol co-star called her a 'b****' — it is now being claimed.
Show bosses cancelled filming in Charlotte, North Carolina for the day on Tuesday after a huge blow-up between the pair where Nicki allegedly threatened and swore at Mariah. But witnesses insist Hero hitmaker Mariah started it, according to reports.
A source told Mouthtoears.com: "Nicki Minaj walked off of set because Mariah Carey kept making jabs at her. Nicki's manager and team convinced her to come back to the show. Mariah kept at it and called Nicki "a b****" and then proceeded to cuss her out. Producers had to stop filming and call it a night."
It was previously reported how Nicki fumed she was sick of her co-judge, labelling Mariah her 'f*****g highness'. Their fellow panellists Keith Urban and Randy Jackson were caught in the middle of the row, according to TMZ, which is running a video of the incident, where Nicki can be heard ranting at Mariah. The row is said to have started due to a disagreement over a contestant's performance.
As he headed to bed on Tuesday night, host Ryan Seacrest wrote on Twitter: "Going to bed in Charlotte after an anything but dull day at #idol auditions. Hit u in morn."

Hollywood, take note!
Hollywood is renowned for its short marriages, with stars like Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears leaving their husbands just days... or even hours after tying the knot.
However, one of Tinseltown's biggest actors, Denzel Washington, has managed a rare feat amongst his peers -- a long and happy marriage.
The Oscar-winner, 57, and his wife Pauletta, 62, looked as in love as ever as they holidayed in Portofino, Italy this week. The couple, who have been married for 29 years and together since 1977, were laughing and joking as they chatted to locals and fellow holidaymakers in the Luguria fishing village. After walking around the picturesque spot, they stopped by a restaurant for an alfresco dinner.
Their eldest son John, 28, is an American football player for the Sacramento Mountain Lions, while daughter Katia, 24, graduated from Yale in 2010. Their twins Olivia and Malcolm, 21, are both thought to be at university as well.
Denzel and Pauletta met in 1977 while the actor was filming his first TV role in Wilma -- which she was also starring in -- and went on to marry in 1983. In 1995, they renewed their wedding vows in South Africa with Archbishop Desmond Tutu officiating.
Talking with Oprah Winfrey in 2008 about their long-lasting marriage, Denzel said: "People who say they knew (if their spouse was the one) right away are lying! It's a marathon, not a sprint."

Cheese is the word!
A fitness DVD or Christmas CD are usually destined for the bargain bin.
However, it hasn't stopped Olivia Newton-John from reuniting with Grease co-star John Travolta, 58, to record what looks to be an absolute cheesefest of a holiday album, called This Christmas.
The pair, who originally shared the screen in the 1978 cult musical, pose on the record cover tilting their heads together in unity while surrounded by wrapped gifts decorated with bows.
Speaking of the collaboration, 64-year-old Olivia said: "My desire was to make... an intimate album, not something too ostentatious or showy. I wanted people to be able to play it around the house, or in the car, during the holidays, and make us part of your celebration."
The album, due out on November 13, will divide proceeds between the Jett Travolta Foundation and the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in Melbourne.
