Serendipity steered star-crossed lovebirds Maria Oparina and Christopher Gordon into each other’s lives with a fateful encounter in April 2015, post-concert, at the Machel Montano-headlined soca event, Pandemonium, at Kingston’s Hope Gardens.

Two weekends ago, the Russian-born businesswoman and her No-Maddz member and dub poet beau presented themselves as husband and wife — having secretly tied the knot in Texas last September — to their nearest and dearest at a beautiful oceanfront wedding and ceremony hosted at the the Tryall Club villa, Stellina By The Sea, the u¨ber- fab vacation property of their friends, financier James Goren and his former Vogue Italia journo Manuela Goren.

The elegant bride, stunning in an ivory Keneea Linton design, and her charming groom, dapper in Mark Anthony suiting, were ever-so-gracious hosts, offering their nattily-clad guests a buffet of Mystic Thai eats, decadent Alecia Woodbine desserts (including the conversationpiece, a cannabis chocolate cake layered with chocolate mousse), and live performances from quintessential reggae crooner Beres Hammond and dancehall/reggae artiste I Octane.

SO RSVP’s to the Gordons.
