She's easy on the eyes, and her knowledge of the wines she represents at J Wray & Nephew Limited makes for interesting conversation. No wonder, then, that when we met Sashae Leon — brand associate for International Wines and Brown Forman Spirits — at the company's Salut! celebration of wines and champagnes last Tuesday at Bin 26 Wine Bar, we were eager to learn more about her new professional title, what wines were being poured for Salut!, and her future plans.

What are you sipping?

Cathedral Cellar Chardonnay.

What kind of day are you having?

It has been a great day. J Wray & Nephew is celebrating Salut! with a well-rounded selection of wines and champagne.

Which wines are being poured this evening?

This evening we're celebrating Salut! with the Cathedral Cellar, from South Africa; Jacob's Creek, Australia's top drop; Afincado, from Argentina; Golden Kaan Chenin Blanc, from South Africa; Delicato, from California — all poured alongside French champagne Moët & Chandon.

What are your responsibilities as a brand officer?

I have oversight responsibility for the brand management and marketing of our international wine portfolio as well as Brown Forman Spirits, which include Jack Daniel's Whiskey and Southern Comfort.

Socialite or homebody?

Both. I love to hang with my friends but need to have my downtime at home alone to rejuvenate.

Flats or stilettos?

Both, and everything in-between. I'm a shoe junkie!

What's your must-have accessory?

Earrings, because they frame my face and complete my look.

How would you describe your style?

Sassy and chic.

What's in your handbag?

L'Oréal Lip Juice, keys, BlackBerry, business cards, Orbit gum and a wine clip.

What scent are you currently splashing?

J'adore by Dior.

Who does your hair?

Pauline Reid, director of Willie's Beauty Salon.

Who does your nails?

I have them done at Nirvana Day Spa.

When you're not working, where's the best place to find you?

At the Mona School of Business and Management, where I'm completing an MBA in International Business.

What's in your car stereo or on your iPod?

Garnet Silk, Guayacán Orquesta, Rihanna, Amy Winehouse, Marc Anthony, Konshens, Jah Cure, Pink and 70s lovers' rock.

What's your idea of the perfect date?

Hiking up the Blue Mountains with someone who appreciates the outdoors as much as I do.

What's your idea of the perfect man?

A smart, genuine man with a great sense of humour. He must be spiritual, love the outdoors and cats.

Who's your celebrity crush?

John Stamos (smiles), I watch too much LMN.

Who or what inspires you?

I get my inspiration from people who have overcome great obstacles to achieve great success.

What's the best piece of advice you have received?

Stand up and be counted.

How do you see yourself 10 years from now?

As a successful entrepreneur who is happily married with kids and cats.
