KINGS of Kings Productions one of the participants in this week's music conference, Caribbean Music Expo (CME), slated for Ocho Rios, will host a musical showcase at the start of CME to launch three new albums produced by the company. These include the debut album by Chrisinti titled, Comfort My People, the latest from Sizzla, Blaze Up The Chalwa, and a double CD compilation dancehall album on KOK's Martial Arts rhythm.

The launch will take the form of a reception and musical showcase on Thursday at the Little Pub, featuring KOK acts, Chrisinti, Norris Man and Bushman, with special appearances by Colin "Iley Dread" Levy and Friends.

Sizzla

With international distribution by VP Records, the album comes at a time when Chrisinti has expanded his fan base mainly through tours of Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. Comfort My People contains both new and established material by this singer who in a relatively short time has achieved some level of visibility.

Blaze Up The Chalwa, serves up more of the fiery rhetoric that is Sizzla's hallmark. The Martial Arts compilation double CD has, reportedly, been receiving rotation in England, where JetStar Records handles distribution. Among the artistes on this set are Ce'Cile, Shabba Ranks, Elephant Man and Beenie Man.

of Israel Rastafarian from Montego Bay who emigrated to Canada after success as a singer/restauranteur in Negril. While in Canada working in the family restaurant, Levy continued his musical career, launching KOK as a label to record and distribute music.

Since 1995 KOK has produced and recorded several leading artistes as well as packaged concerts which have toured Canada, the USA and Europe.

Levy has done projects with Dennis Brown, Buju Banton, Capleton, Beenie Man, Norris Man, Gregory Isaacs, Mykal Roze and Glen Washington.

Another important aspect of KOK is its sterling reputation as promoter of Canada's leading reggae shows. The Rainbow Ites Restaurant has been transformed into the Rainbow Concert Hall where KOK hosts Montreal's leading reggae concerts featuring the cream of Jamaican reggae acts.

Currently KOK produces several emerging stars such as Chrisinti, Norris Man, Bushman among others from their Kingston-based office.
