
Jamaica's Carla Campbell -- new FUBU campaign girl

PULSE fashion model, Carla Campbell propelled her career when she was named last week as the new FUBU campaign girl. FUBU is a major manufacturer of clothing and sporting footwear in the United States. The company's newest licensed lines inlcude Platinum FUBU, FUBU footwear for ladies, Intimate Apparel and Activewear and watches.
Campbell was in Jamaica recently for the finals of Pulse's Caribbean Model Search, where her booker Christie Dinham of Karin was one of the judges.
She was elated by her FUBU successand told the Observer that: "Things are great for me in New York. Since Christie has become my booker my career has gone to a whole new level. I have gotten a string of new assignments, including FUBU."
In addition to her contract with FUBU, Campbell is gaining good recognition for work with other brand name clients. Only recently the major fashion magazines and billboards in the United States and Europe have started highlighting Carla's recent work for Avon, Miller Beer, Footlocker, Target, Eckored, among several others. Her most recent video credit is for Joe's new hit, following her recent lead role in the Janet Jackson/ Beenie Man music video.
Since being placed by Pulse with IMG, at the end of the '90s, Carla later switched to Karin and has excelled as a model. In that period she has completed numerous assignments and her curvaceous physique has led to multiple assignments for Maxim, probably the world's hottest men's magazine. She has done countless editorials including covers and has appeared in Seventeen, Cosmo, Skywritings and Smooth.
Campbell is expected to be a part of this year's Caribbean Fashionweek, which is scheduled for November.
