I-Wayne's Can't Satisfy Her taking off

Can't Satisfy Her, the hot new single from I-Wayne, has been popping up a lot on radio. The song which was produced by Patrick Henry and C Williamson has been released on the Loyal Soldier label.

I-Wayne isn't surprised that the song has taken off the way that it has.

"It's just a natural thing and a progression. I wrote the song based on what I have observed going on," I-Wayne told this column in an interview earlier this week.

The singer, whose real name is Clifroy Taylor, made his debut in 1997 when he recorded Naw Draw Nil for producer Andrew Zion.

"I recorded the song but nothing really happened. Since then, I have recorded quite a number of songs, and I have been performing at community events and sessions," I-Wayne said.

The 24 year-old who hails from Garveymeade in Portmore, says his stocks have begun to rise since Can't Satisfy Her began to gain momentum.

"A few people have become aware of who I am and I have been getting some good feedback whenever I am performing. Right now I am looking at performing at Reggae Sumfest," he said.

Originally from a large family, I-Wayne lists Dennis Brown, Bob Marley, Beres Hammond and Marcia Griffiths among his musical influences.

His latest singles include Living In Love and Burning Red.
Can't Satisfy Her last week debuted at number 10 on the Mega Jamz Top 10 Reggae/Singers chart.
