Vybz Kartel's Realest Thing jump starts the Jump Off rhythm
Vybz Kartel is a hot seller in the record shops with his latest groove, Realest Thing (popularly called the Stammer song). The song is among a batch of songs featured on producer Preston Onfroy's Jump Off rhythm, which have been released on the In Time Music label.
Realest Thing is currently riding up the local charts and looks set to become the first chart topper for Kartel since he soared to the top a few years ago with Tekk.
The red hot rhythm also contains primed tracks, including Jump Off by Capleton, Fully Fraud by Black-er, Mouth Bad Man by Anthony B, Cho Cho Cho by Elephant Man, Black And Poor by Spotlight, Mad Again by Frisco Kid, Touch by Terror 3000, Right Here by Wayne Marshall, Oh Girl by Voice Mail, Don't Call Me by Delicious, Rise It Up by Bounty Killer, Thief by Macka Diamond, Everybody Wants by Beenie Man and Bone Crusher, and Cardinal Point by Idonia.
Also featured on the Jump Off rhythm are songs from Ce'Cile, Hawkeye, Sanjay, Lady Saw, Lady G, Ice Man, Kip Rich, Shane-O and Future Troubles.
In the Streetz Distribution at the Domes on Hagley Park Road is handling the Jump Off rhythm.
Contractor's Heartbroken now released
Rising deejay Contractor is on the attack with his new single, Heartbroken. The song is the follow up to his current Top 10 chart hit Babylon Be Still.
Heartbroken, which features singer Mikey General, has been released on the hit-laden Downsound Record label. The label scored chart toppers this year with Jah Cure's True Reflections and Fantan Mojah's Hail The King and Corruption.
The rhythm accompanying Heartbroken is actually a revamp of the beat which accompanied Shabba Ranks' 1980's monster Wicked Inna Bed. The song is being distributed locally through Energy Beat at Retirement Road in Kingston.
Pot of Gold doubles up with AJ Brown and Gentleman
The Pot of Gold label which has had success on the music charts over the years with songs, including Maniac by Richie Stephens and Bounty Killer and Winner by Richie Stephens, aims to conquer familiar territory with two hot new singles.
The songs are Could You Love Me by cabaret star AJ Brown, and Perpetual Emotion by German reggae star Gentleman.
King Judah label releases new singles
All Access Entertainment in Central Plaza, Kingston, is distributing the handful of songs from the King Judah label. They include the duet This Song Is For The World by Sasha and Turbulence, Read Di Sign by Lukie D, Mother of Civilization by Fantan Mojah, In Your Eyes by Bhingi Bob, Free Up Your Mind by Holloway and Help Dem My God by Little Hero.
