Elliott will headline Saturday nights' show the 'Summit' on July 22 and will share the stage with stars like Rihanna, Damian Marley, Beres Hammond, Buju Banton and Gentleman. She is expected to deliver an entertaining, energetic and flamboyant performance in her usual style in July.

Elliott, who won the award for the best female hip-hop artiste of the year at the recently concluded BET Awards, will surely have the patrons jumping when she hits the stage and reels off songs like Lose Control, On and On and Irresistible Delicious.

Title sponsor, Red Stripe, was instrumental in securing this deal to bring the diva to Jamaica. This was disclosed by Carlo Redwood, Group Marketing Manager at Red Stripe, who said that the title sponsor had increased its sponsorship of this years' event to facilitate contracting 50 cent and Missy Elliott.

"Red Stripe is happy to have yet another Red Stripe star performer on Jamaica's best and the world's greatest reggae show on earth. Bringing 50 cent and Missy Elliott to Jamaica is a part of Red Stripe's drive to ensure that Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest continues to deliver the biggest stars in music. It is with high anticipation that fans eagerly await the performances of these massively popular entertainers," Mr. Redwood said.

Redwood went on to say that both rap and hip-hop grew out of reggae and dancehall music, Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest is ensuring that the show this year embodies all the indigenous music of Jamaica as well as all those genres that have spawn out of it.
Over the years over $400million has been invested in Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest by the brand.

This sponsorship has been significant and demonstrates Red Stripe's commitment to the development of the festival and by extension the music industry.
Jomo Cato, Director of Marketing Summerfest Productions said that this latest addition to the show would attract thousands of hip-hop fans from all across the world.

"Missy Elliot is an international superstar, this woman has dominated the hip hop game for the better part of a decade. The last time she appeared in Jamaica, she brought the house down with her energy and ability to connect with the audience, Missy is a huge boost to our Saturday night event, the Summit and fits the theme perfectly, Jamaica's greatest, the world's best"" Mr. Cato said.

Recognised as the best-selling female hip-hop artist of all time, Ellott, a writer, singer, lyricist, and producer, will undoubtedly wet the appetite of all with her delicious new CD, The Cookbook.
"Each record has its own herbs and spices. Whether I listened to my previous albums, rock, alternative, hip-hop or soul records from Chaka Khan, it's all mixed in there," said the hip-hop star.
