Daniel Craig is the latest actor to play James Bond in Casino Royale

Casino Royale, the latest James Bond action movie, will have its Jamaican premiere on November 15 at the Palace Cineplex in Kingston in aid of the Heart Foundation of Jamaica.

Starring British newcomer Daniel Craig, Casino Royale is the latest in the popular series based on Ian Fleming's novels.
Craig is the first blond to play 007 and follows in the footsteps of Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore and Sean Connery (George Lazenby also played Bond in one film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service). This time, Bond finds himself in a marathon high-stakes poker game in Le Casino Royale playing against the banker to the world's terrorist organisation who wants to fund their activities. His adventures take him to Madagascar, the Bahamas and Montenegro. As usual, he operates under the watchful eye of 'M' played by the veteran actress, Dame Judy Dench, and encounters exotic Bond girls played by Caterina Murino and Eva Green.

The November 15 gala, for which tickets are $2,000 each, will feature a reception with the requisite 'shaken, not stirred' martinis with Sky vodka and Italian wines, courtesy of Lascelles Wines and Spirits. The gate prize will be an Omega Seamaster Professional watch, the choice of James Bond, donated by Swiss Stores Limited.

Queen Elizabeth II will attend the film's World Premiere, a charity benefit which will occupy three cinemas in Leicester Square, London. The Jamaican premiere follows a day later.
Casino Royale was the first of more than a dozen James Bond novels Ian Fleming wrote while he stayed at Golden Eye in Ocho Rios.

Tickets to the Jamaican event can be purchased at the Mall Plaza branch of Swiss Stores in Kingston. Reservations can only be made at the Heart Foundation.
