Haute couture fashion designer Deola Sagoe will be showing at Caribbean Fashion Week, Kingston Jamaica June 6-10, although Pulse (organisers of Caribbean Fashion Week) general manager Romae Gordon was not yet prepared to share her actual date schedule: "We're still juggling participants" she explained, "but should have the show listings by May."
Pulse head Kingsley Cooper is naturally upbeat at being able to add Deola Sagoe to his fashion repertoire: "She's part of 'Catwalk the World: Fashion for Food," he shares, "which began in Nigeria in April 2006, and recently staged an event in Ghana which brought celebrities like Damon Dash, his wife designer Rachel Roy, and Ghanaian-born London-based designer Ozwald Boatenz."

The more on Sagoe is that she's been an invited guest of New York Fashion Week in the past and is the winner of the MNET/Anglo Gold African designs awards for which she was nominated by Andre Leon Tally, US Vogue editor.
Deola Sagoe has given African fashion in the 21st century the most radical expression imaginable, from the deeply rooted African fabrics to perfectly matched accessories. Known for constantly fabulous designs, flawless colour combination, attention to detail, perfect finish and finesse, Sagoe is also famous for her dynamic signature high fashion pieces as well as the extensive use of gold. She is well known for her signature high fashion pieces as well as vibrant Prêt-a-Porter collections featuring ethnocentric silhouettes for global appreciation.
Sagoe has also participated in fashion shows in America, Europe and Africa alongside fashion enigmas like Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Chanel and Missoni.
