Wednesday, May 30, 2007

Rebelmix Inc, the Caribbean's leading digital distributor of music and video, has released Black Chiney Presents Drumline Riddim & Timeline Riddim, the latest dancehall album from Miami-based Dwayne 'Supa Dups' Chin-Quee's Black Chiney production house/sound system.

Drumline, Black Chiney's third rhythm production, is said to be already stirring up controversy in reggae and dancehall circles as it features artistes Mavado and Vybz Kartel battling it out lyrically on their respective tracks Mr Palmer and Mofraudo.

Supa Dups and Black Chiney are well known as creators of cutting-edge urban dancehall tracks and have produced hits for Nina Sky, Sean Paul, Rihanna, Elephant Man and many other major dancehall and hip hop/r&b acts. This is the premier collaboration between Black Chiney Records and Rebelmix and according to Rebelmix president and co-founder, Christopher Edmonds: "This is our first release from Supa Dups, and we're very excited about the possibilities."
The Black Chiney sound system and record label has spawned a worldwide following among dancehall/reggae enthusiasts, and is well known for their signature dancehall & hip hop remixes.

Supa Dups says about Reblemix, "Chris and Henry (Rebelmix co-founder and VP of label relations) and I go way back, long before there was a Rebelmix or Black Chiney, so working together now has been a natural fit, and we think Rebelmix is going to do big things for Black Chiney."

Rebelmix will be distributing Drumline online via its global network of Internet retailers, including the Apple iTunes Store, eMusic and more. Rebelmix is the Caribbean's first full-service digital distribution solution, distributing music and video content to leading digital retailers, websites and mobile phone carriers worldwide. Rebelmix represents some of the biggest names in reggae and Caribbean music, including Steely & Clevie Productions, Mikey Bennett, Black Chiney Records, Mystic Urchin Music and Rootz Underground.
